I’m Timothy Bechtel, MA, LICSW, a Minnesota-licensed clinical social worker with more than 20 years of experience as a therapist.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand many of the common issues that get in the way of growth, connection, and emotional freedom. I help clients identify what is keeping them stuck, understand the early experiences and relationship patterns that shaped those struggles, and create lasting change.

My clinical work is especially focused on couples therapy, trauma, EMDR, LGBTQ+ affirming care, intimacy, relationship issues, and helping people build richer and more fulfilling relationships.

I am a graduate of the University of Chicago and provide online therapy for clients in Minnesota.
